Research - Rehabilitation - Outreach
Emerald Waters Marine Wildlife Health Institute was established to build Washington's first marine animal hospital. As we work towards this goal, we participate in community events, festivals, and classroom education to teach our community about local marine life and inspire ocean conservation.

Each year, we find hundreds of marine mammals orphaned or injured along our Northwest coastline. With the closest rehabilitation facility located in Vancouver, Canada, many of these animals are left on the beach to slowly pass away. A local marine animal hospital would give us the ability to protect our marine wildlife, monitor changes in their ocean habitat, and provide education to our community so we all learn how our choices impact the lives of these animals.
